Disclosure of information
(1)
A person must not disclose any information obtained by him or her in connection with the administration or execution of this Act or the regulations, unless the disclosure is made —
with the consent of the person from whom the information was obtained;
in connection with the administration or execution of this Act or the regulations;
under and in accordance with any other written law;
for the purposes of any legal proceedings arising out of this Act or the regulations or of any report of those proceedings; or
for the purpose of objecting to an application for a licence or of any investigation conducted under this Act.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $4,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
