Section 72

Transitional and savings provisions

(1)

In so far as any application or objection made, permit granted, consent, designation, direction or notice issued, given or delivered, prohibition or requirement imposed or attached, or other thing done, under the repealed provisions could have been made, granted, issued, given, delivered, imposed, attached or done under a corresponding provision of this Act, it shall have effect as if made, granted, issued, given, delivered, imposed, attached or done under that corresponding provision.

(2)

In subsection (1), “the repealed provisions” means —

(a)

sections 37 to 51 of the Local Government Integration Act [1970 Ed. Cap. 210]; and

(b)

sections 74 and 79 of the Environmental Public Health Act [1970 Ed. Cap. 155].[70
