Section 26

Where the appropriate Minister has reason to believe that a dangerous infectious disease may be introduced into Singapore from or through any area in Singapore or elsewhere, he or she may, by notification in the Gazette, declare that area to be an infected area.

The appropriate Minister may issue an order prohibiting the entry into Singapore of any person or class of persons from an infected area declared under subsection (1) except under such conditions as the Minister may specify.
