Master, etc., of vessel to assist Director-General, Director, etc.
(1)
The master, owner or agent of a vessel must provide such facilities and assistance as the Director‑General, the Director‑General, Food Administration, the Director, a Port Health Officer or a Health Officer may require in the exercise of powers for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act.
(2)
The master, owner or agent of a vessel must take all reasonable measures and exercise due and proper care to ensure the safety of the Director‑General, the Director‑General, Food Administration, the Director, a Port Health Officer or a Health Officer and any person acting under his or her direction in the course of their work on board the vessel.
(3)
Any person who contravenes this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
