Section 18

Registrar may refuse to register instrument of transfer in favour of Singapore society

The Registrar may refuse to register an instrument of transfer of any estate or interest in any residential property that is not non‑restricted residential property in favour of a Singapore society unless he or she is satisfied that —

(a)

all the members of the society are citizens; and

(b)

the trustees of the society are either citizens or a trust company licensed under the Trust Companies Act 2005.
