Section 36A

The Controller or any person authorised by the Controller in writing may compound any offence under this Act or any rules or regulations made under this Act that is prescribed as a compoundable offence by collecting from a person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $10,000.

The Minister may make regulations to prescribe the offences that may be compounded.

On payment of the sum, no further proceedings are to be taken against that person in respect of the offence.

All sums collected under this section must be paid into the funds of the Authority.
