Section 11

to encourage, promote, facilitate and assist in the establishment, development and expansion of the computer services industry in Singapore;

to plan, promote, develop, implement and coordinate computer data processing for Government ministries, departments and agencies;

to advise the Government on national needs and policies in respect of computer data processing;

to establish and maintain standards of computer systems education and training in Singapore;

to install and maintain computer systems to be used for such purposes as the Board thinks fit;

to provide consultancy and advisory services concerning computer data processing;

to provide facilities for the training of persons for any purpose connected with the computer services industry;

to do anything for the purpose of advancing the skill and knowledge of its employees or of other persons engaged in the computer services industry; and

to promote research into matters and activities relating to computer technology and services.
