Power to require evidence of identity
(1)
A police officer who reasonably believes that a person has committed an offence under this Act or any regulations made thereunder may require that person to furnish such evidence of his identity as may be required by the officer.
(2)
Any person who refuses to furnish any information required of him by a police officer under this section or wilfully mis-states such information shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
