Powers, duties and functions of body corporate
(1)
A body corporate constituted under section 3(1) shall by virtue of this Act have power to sue and be sued in its corporate name and to perform such other acts as bodies corporate may by law perform, and to exercise and perform such other powers, duties and functions as are conferred or imposed on it by or under this Act.
(2)
In respect of a housing estate described in an order made under section 3(1), a body corporate shall have the control, management and administration of the common property of that estate and shall perform and exercise the powers, duties and functions as are conferred or imposed on it by or under this Act.
