Section 101B

Persons assisting Force

(1)

The powers conferred by section 101A(1)(a) to (e) and (2) may also be exercised by the following persons:

(a)

any employee of an emergency ambulance service provider providing emergency ambulance services for the Force in the performance of a contract between the emergency ambulance service provider and the Government;

(b)

any regular serviceman or national serviceman enlisted with the Singapore Armed Forces who is attached to the Force to assist in the provision of emergency ambulance services by the Force.

(2)

An employee of an emergency ambulance service provider providing emergency ambulance services for the Force in the performance of a contract between the emergency ambulance service provider and the Government is, in relation to the employee’s performance of the employee’s duties in connection with the provision of the emergency ambulance services, taken to be a public servant for the purposes of the Penal Code 1871.
