Application of this Division
(1)
This Division applies to and in relation to the business of —
(a)
a dealer; and
(b)
an investment adviser.
(2)
A reference to a relevant person in this Division shall be construed as a reference to each of the persons specified in subsection (1) unless inconsistent with the context or the subject-matter.
(3)
A reference to the relevant authority in this Division shall be construed as a reference to a securities exchange and the Authority where the relevant person is a dealer who is a member company; and in any other case to the Authority.
