Employment of unregistered professional engineer prohibited

Subject to the provisions of this Act, a person must not employ as a professional engineer any person who is not a registered professional engineer.

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 and, in the case of second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $5,000.[11
