Chief executive officer of Council
(1)
The Council shall appoint a chief executive officer on such terms and conditions as the Board may determine.
(2)
The chief executive officer shall be responsible to the Board for the proper administration and management of the Council in accordance with the policy laid down by the Board.
(3)
If the chief executive officer is temporarily absent from Singapore or temporarily incapacitated by reason of illness or for other reasons temporarily unable to perform his duties, any person may be appointed by the Board to act the place of the chief executive officer during any such period of absence from duty.
