Section 6

Functions of Council

(1)

The functions of the Council are —

(a)

to advise the Commissioner on any question which he or she may refer to it in connection with the administration of this Act, and the objectives and functions of the Commissioner under this Act;

(b)

to make any recommendations to the Commissioner as it thinks fit in relation to the regulation of charities; and

(c)

to promote self-regulation and good governance standards in the charity sector.

(2)

The Council may perform any other functions that the Minister may determine.

(3)

The Council may regulate its own procedure.[4B
