Section 25

Exemption

(1)

The Minister may, in his discretion and subject to such conditions as he thinks fit, exempt any person or class of persons from all or any of the provisions of this Act.

(2)

Nothing in this Act shall prohibit a person who is undergoing —

(a)

a course of instruction leading to a degree, diploma or qualification declared or approved by the Board under section 7(1)(a) or (b);

(b)

a course of instruction approved by the Board under section 7(3); or

(c)

a course of instruction in contact lens practice or any aspect thereof for persons seeking to qualify, or for persons already qualified, as medical practitioners,from engaging in any aspect of the practice of a contact lens practitioner as a part of the course of instruction.[23
