Section 9

The Registrar shall, upon registering the name of any person in the register, grant to him an annual licence authorising him to practise as a contact lens practitioner.

An annual licence shall be in force for a period of one year from the date on which it is granted unless it is earlier revoked in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

An application for the renewal of an annual licence shall be made in such form as the Registrar may require and shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee.

The annual licence of a registered contact lens practitioner shall be revoked when his registration is cancelled under section 12(1).
