Stowaways

(1)

A person who, without the consent of the master of the ship or of any other person authorised to give it, goes to sea or attempts to go to sea in a ship shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.

(2)

Nothing in section 180 is to be taken to limit the jurisdiction of any court in Singapore to deal with an offence under this section which has been committed in a country outside Singapore by a person who is not a citizen of Singapore.
