Section 42
Suspension or cancellation of public licence
(1)
If the Board is satisfied that —
a public licensee is contravening, or is likely to contravene or has contravened, any of the conditions of its public licence, any code of practice or other standard of performance applicable to the licensee, any of the provisions of this Act or the regulations or any direction issued by the Minister or the Board to, or applicable to, that licensee;
a public licensee has gone into compulsory or voluntary liquidation other than for the purpose of amalgamation or reconstruction;
a public licensee has made any assignment to, or composition with, its creditors; or
the public interest or security of Singapore requires,the Board may, by notice in writing and without any compensation, do either or both of the following:
cancel its public licence or suspend its licence for such period as the Board thinks fit;
require the payment of a fine in such amount as the Board thinks fit.
(2)
Any person who is aggrieved by any decision of the Board under this section may, within 14 days after the person has been given the notice in writing referred to in subsection (1), appeal to the Minister whose decision shall be final.
