Section 66

Appointment and functions of Pilotage Committee

The Authority must appoint a Pilotage Committee for the purpose of —

(a)

holding examinations and issuing, on behalf of the Authority, licences to act as an authorised pilot;

(b)

holding inquiries into the conduct of authorised pilots in the discharge of their duties;

(c)

making any arrangements that may be necessary for the training of persons selected for or in the pilotage service;

(d)

investigating and advising on matters that may be referred to the Committee by the Authority; and

(e)

carrying out any other functions conferred on the Committee by this Act.
