Regulations

(1)

The Board may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations for carrying out the purposes and provisions of this Act and for prescribing any matter which may be prescribed under this Act.

(2)

Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), the Board may make regulations with regard to the following matters:

(a)

the test of proficiency in courses conducted by the Board;

(b)

subscribing members;

(c)

the manner of appointment, conduct and discipline and the terms and conditions of service of the officers and employees of the Board;

(d)

the prescribing of fees and charges for the purposes of this Act; and

(e)

the prescribing of offences which may be compounded under section 42.

(3)

The Board may in making any regulations provide that any person who contravenes the regulations shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.

All such regulations shall be presented to Parliament as soon as possible after publication in the Gazette.[42
