Appointment of authorised officers

(1)
The Director‑General may, by writing, appoint for the purposes of this Act —
(a)
an eligible person to be an authorised officer; or
(b)
a class of eligible persons to be authorised officers.

(2)
A person who is an authorised officer ceases to be an authorised officer if the person ceases to be an eligible person.
(3)
For the purposes of this section, an eligible person is any public officer or any officer of a statutory body.
