Section 18

For the purposes of this Act, there shall be a Registrar of the Medical Council.

The Director of Medical Services shall be the Registrar of the Medical Council.

The Minister may appoint a Deputy Registrar to assist the Registrar in carrying out his functions and duties under this Act.

The Registrar may, subject to such conditions or restrictions as he thinks fit, delegate to the Deputy Registrar any of his powers or functions under this Act, except the power of delegation conferred by this section.

The Registrar may continue to exercise any power conferred on him or perform any function under this Act notwithstanding the delegation of such power or function under this section.
