Section 31V

Notwithstanding the provisions of this Part, any person who, immediately before the commencement of section 4 of the Building and Construction Authority (Amendment) Act 2009 (Act 12 of 2009), is in the business of importing essential construction materials shall be entitled to continue doing so for a period of 6 months from that date, and if before the expiry of that period a licence is applied for under this Part, that person shall be entitled to continue carrying on in the business of so importing until the date on which a licence under this Part is issued or the application for a licence under this Part is refused or withdrawn.
