Section 14

Registration and enrolment

(1)

Subject to sections 15 to 17, a person who satisfies the Board that —

(a)

the person has successfully completed —

(i)

a course in nursing accredited for the purposes of this subsection in an accredited institution; or

(ii)

a course in nursing outside Singapore which in the opinion of the Board is equivalent to a course mentioned in sub‑paragraph (i); and

(b)

the person has fulfilled such other conditions as the Board may specify for the person’s case,may be registered as a registered nurse.

(2)

Subject to sections 15 to 17, a person who satisfies the Board that —

(a)

the person has successfully completed —

(i)

a course in nursing accredited for the purposes of this subsection in an accredited institution; or

(ii)

a course in nursing outside Singapore which in the opinion of the Board is equivalent to a course mentioned in sub‑paragraph (i); and

(b)

the person has fulfilled such other conditions as the Board may specify for the person’s case,may be enrolled as an enrolled nurse.

(3)

Subject to sections 15 to 17, a person who satisfies the Board that —

(a)

the person has successfully completed —

(i)

a course in midwifery accredited for the purposes of this subsection in an accredited institution; or

(ii)

a course in midwifery outside Singapore which in the opinion of the Board is equivalent to a course mentioned in sub‑paragraph (i); and

(b)

the person has fulfilled such other conditions as the Board may specify for the person’s case,may be registered as a registered midwife.

(4)

The registration of a person as a registered nurse or enrolment of a person as an enrolled nurse must be in that part of the Register of Nurses or Roll which the Board considers appropriate to the person’s case.
