Costs
(1)
Where the Board is satisfied that there are grounds under section 19(1)(a), (b), (d), (e) or (f) to exercise its powers against a registered nurse, an enrolled nurse, a registered midwife or an Advanced Practice Nurse, the Board may, in addition to any power which the Board may exercise under section 19, order the registered nurse, enrolled nurse, registered midwife or Advanced Practice Nurse (as the case may be) to pay to the Board such sums as the Board thinks fit in respect of the costs and expenses of the inquiry by the Board.
(2)
The General Division of the High Court has jurisdiction to tax the sums ordered to be paid under subsection (1).
(3)
The sums ordered to be paid under subsection (1) may be recovered as a debt in any court with competent jurisdiction.
