Duties of authorised officer, etc., upon seizure
(1)
Whenever any article or document is seized and removed under section 14, 15 or 16, the authorised officer or senior authorised officer (as the case may be) must give written notice of the seizure and removal and the grounds thereof to the owner of the article or document (if known) either by delivering the notice to him or her personally or by post at his or her business or residential address, if known.
(2)
The notice need not be given if the seizure is made on the person or in the presence of the offender or the owner or the owner’s agent.
