False statements

Any person who, in relation to any application under this Act —

(a)

makes any false statement which the person knows to be false or does not believe to be true or which the person makes recklessly; or

(b)

intentionally suppresses any material fact,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.[30B
