Section 24
Constitution of management corporation
(1)
The management corporation constituted by virtue of the Land Titles (Strata) Act 1967 in respect of a strata title plan —
comprises the subsidiary proprietors from time to time of all lots comprised in that strata title plan;
is a body corporate capable of suing and being sued and having perpetual succession and a common seal; and
is called “The Management Corporation — Strata Title Plan No.____” (the number to be specified being the number of the strata title plan).

A management corporation for a strata title plan may —
sue and be sued on any contract made by it;
sue and be sued in respect of any matter affecting the common property;
sue in respect of any loss or damage suffered by the management corporation arising out of a contract or otherwise; and
be sued in respect of any matter connected with the parcel for which the subsidiary proprietors are jointly liable.
(3)
A management corporation constituted in respect of a strata title plan has the powers, duties and functions conferred or imposed on it by or under this Act, or by the by‑laws in respect of the parcel comprised in that strata title plan and, subject to this Act, has the control, management and administration of the common property comprised in that strata title plan.
(4)
Nothing in this section is to be construed as prohibiting a management corporation constituted in respect of a strata title plan from adding the name of any subdivided building comprised in the strata title plan to its official name.
(5)
In this section, “subsidiary proprietors” includes the persons entitled to the land on which the subdivided building is erected pursuant to the termination of the strata subdivision scheme under section 78 or 81 of the Land Titles (Strata) Act 1967.
