Section 24
Obstruction, etc., of officers
Any person who obstructs, impedes, assaults or interferes with any authorised officer or police officer in the performance of his or her duties under this Act shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction —
(a)
in the case of a body corporate — to a fine not exceeding $100,000 and, in the case of a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $200,000; and
(b)
in any other case — to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both and, in the case of a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $100,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
