Obstruction of public officers
(1)
A person must not at any time hinder, obstruct or molest the Director or any enforcement officer in the performance and execution of his or her duty or of anything which he or she is empowered or required to do by virtue or in consequence of or under this Act.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction —
(a)
in the case of a first offence, to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both; and
(b)
in the case of a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
