Section 38

Self-incrimination

(1)

A person is not excused from disclosing any information to the Authority, pursuant to a requirement made of that person under this Part, on the ground that the disclosure of the information might tend to incriminate the person.

(2)

Where a person claims, before making a statement disclosing any information that the person is required to disclose by a requirement made of the person under this Part, that the statement might tend to incriminate the person, that statement is not admissible in evidence against the person in criminal proceedings other than proceedings under this Act.
