Section 8

Application for licences, etc.

(1)

An application for the grant or renewal of a licence must be made to the Director‑General in such form and manner as the Director‑General may require and must be accompanied by the prescribed fee.

(2)

An applicant for a licence must provide such information and documents as the Director‑General may in any case require.

(3)

The Director‑General may —

(a)

grant or renew a licence subject to such conditions, limitations and exceptions as the Director‑General may specify;

(b)

during the currency of a licence, revoke or vary any condition, limitation or exception attached to the licence, or attach new conditions, limitations or exceptions to the licence;

(c)

refuse any application for the grant or renewal of a licence; or

(d)

suspend a licence for such period as he or she may determine, or cancel a licence.

(4)

A licence, unless earlier cancelled or suspended, remains in force for such period as may be specified in the licence.[7
