Damage to Authority’s property
(1)
If any person wilfully removes, destroys or damages any property belonging to the Authority or hinders or prevents the property from being used or operated in the manner in which it is intended to be used or operated, that person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both, and, on application by the Authority, a court may order the offender to pay compensation to the Authority for any damage done by the offender.
(2)
Any employee of the Authority duly authorised in that behalf may apprehend any person if that other person commits, within the employee’s view, an offence under this section and must on such apprehension, without unreasonable delay, hand over the person so apprehended to a police officer.
