Section 9

Appointment of Monument Inspectors

(1)

The Director may in writing appoint any public officer or any officer or employee of the Board or of any other statutory authority to be a Monument Inspector for the purposes of this Act.

(2)

Every Monument Inspector must, when exercising his or her powers and carrying out his or her duties under this Act, comply with any general or special directions that may be given to him or her by the Director or the Board.

(3)

Every Monument Inspector when exercising any powers under this Act must, if not in uniform, declare his or her office and must, on demand, produce to any person affected by the exercise of those powers any identification card that the Director may direct to be carried by the Monument Inspector when exercising those powers.
