Section 23

Registration of registrable corporation

(1)

Any corporation which qualifies as a registrable corporation must, within the period specified in the order under section 22(1), apply to the Director‑General to be registered.

The Director‑General must register a corporation if the Director‑General is satisfied that —

(a)

the corporation is a registrable corporation; and

(b)

the application for registration is in order.

(3)

The registration of any registered corporation remains valid until it is cancelled under section 25.

(4)

A registrable corporation which fails to apply to the Director‑General to be registered within the time specified in the order shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
