Section 43

False statements, forging of documentation, etc.

Any person who —

(a)

in relation to any submission to the Registrar under section 41, makes or causes to be made any statement or declaration which is false or misleading in any material particular;

(b)

makes or causes to be made any entry or omission in the information or documents submitted to the Registrar, which to the person’s knowledge is false or misleading in any material particular; or

(c)

forges any approval, certificate or data required to be submitted to the Registrar or any label on fuel economy and vehicular emissions mentioned in section 42,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to both.
