Appointment of Chief Executive Officer, officers, employees, etc.
(1)
The Commission must appoint a Chief Executive Officer on such terms and conditions as the Commission may determine.
(2)
The Chief Executive Officer —
is known by such designation as the Commission may determine; and
is responsible to the Commission for the proper administration and management of the functions and affairs of the Commission in accordance with the policy laid down by the Commission.
(3)
If the Chief Executive Officer is temporarily absent from Singapore or temporarily incapacitated by reason of illness or for any other reason temporarily unable to discharge his or her duties, another person may be appointed by the Commission to act in the place of the Chief Executive Officer during any such period of absence from duty.
(4)
The Commission may appoint or employ, on such terms and conditions as the Commission may determine, any officers, employees, consultants and agents necessary for the effective performance of its functions.
