Section 12

Protection from personal liability

(1)

No liability shall lie personally against any member, officer or employee of the Commission, committee member or other person acting under the direction of the Commission who, acting in good faith and with reasonable care, does or omits to do anything in the execution or purported execution of this Act or any other written law.

(2)

Where the Commission provides a service to the public by which information is supplied to the public pursuant to any written law, neither any of its members, officers or employees nor any committee member involved in the supply of such information shall be liable for any loss or damage suffered by any member of the public by reason of any error or omission of any nature appearing in the information or however caused if the member, officer, employee or committee member had acted with reasonable care and in good faith and in the ordinary course of the discharge of his or her duties.
