Supplemental provision to sections 9 and 12
(1)
For the purposes of sections 9(b) and 12(1)(a)(ii), a certificate issued under the hand of the Minister charged with the responsibility for internal security stating that the Minister is satisfied that it would be contrary to the national security or interest for the person named in the certificate to be registered or to continue to be registered is conclusive evidence of the matters so stated.
(2)
Section 8(7) does not apply in a case where the Registrar refuses to register a person under section 9(b) on the basis of a certificate issued under subsection (1).
(3)
Section 12(4) does not apply in a case where the Registrar cancels the registration of a person and the person’s business name under section 12(1)(a)(ii) on the basis of a certificate issued under subsection (1).
