Display of Maritime Labour Certificate and Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance
(1)
A shipowner must cause to be displayed in a conspicuous place on board the shipowner’s ship where it is available to seafarers —
a valid Maritime Labour Certificate and a valid Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance in respect of that ship; or
a valid interim Maritime Labour Certificate in respect of that ship,as the case may be.
(2)
A shipowner must cause to be carried on board the shipowner’s ship —
a copy of the Convention; and
a copy of this Act, regulations made under this Act and other relevant written law.
(3)
The documents referred to in subsections (1) and (2) must be readily available for inspection on board the ship, and must be produced, on request, to seafarers employed on that ship, the Director, a surveyor of ships, authorised officers in port States and shipowners’ and seafarers’ representatives.
