Section 2

General interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires —“claim” includes a counterclaim;“Community Disputes Resolution Tribunal” or “tribunal” means a State Court designated under section 14 as a Community Disputes Resolution Tribunal;“Community Mediation Centre” means a Community Mediation Centre established under section 3 of the Community Mediation Centres Act 1997;“Registrar” means the registrar of the State Courts appointed under section 12 of the State Courts Act 1970 and includes a deputy registrar appointed under that section;“Registry” means the Registry of the State Courts.
