Section 21

Register

(1)

The Commissioner is to keep a Register of licensed operators of foreign employee dormitories.

(2)

The Register may be kept in any form that the Commissioner considers appropriate.

(3)

The Commissioner may record in the Register in relation to a foreign employee dormitory —

(a)

particulars of any enforcement or regulatory action taken in respect of the foreign employee dormitory, its proprietor or licensed operator or any of its staff; and

(b)

any other particulars or information that the Commissioner considers appropriate or that may be prescribed.

(4)

The Commissioner is to ensure that information in the Register is kept up‑to‑date and may arrange for any information in the Register that the Commissioner considers appropriate to be available to the public without charge.

(5)

The Register is evidence of the particulars or information recorded in it.

(6)

A certificate signed or purporting to be signed by the Commissioner and stating that the premises named in the certificate were or were not licensed at a specified time, or stating any other particulars or information recorded in the Register at a specified time, is admissible in any legal proceedings and is evidence of the matters stated in the certificate.
