Section 23

Licensee to keep records of pawnbroking business and transactions

A licensee must keep the prescribed records in relation to —

(a)

its business of pawnbroking; and

(b)

its transactions.

The records under subsection (1) —

(a)

must be kept —

(i)

in English;

(ii)

in electronic form;

(iii)

from the prescribed time;

(iv)

for the prescribed period, or any longer period that the Registrar may, in writing, require; and

(v)

in accordance with any other prescribed requirement; and

(b)

must be kept or be available for inspection at the licensed place of business where the goods are pawned.
