Offences relating to Singapore Standard
(1)
A person must not establish, accept, adopt or publish in relation to a product or process any standard which purports, expressly or impliedly, to be a Singapore Standard, when in fact it is not.
(2)
A person must not —
(a)
make any statement or representation, whether in writing or not; or
(b)
use any mark,which conveys or is likely to convey the impression that a product or process conforms to a Singapore Standard, when in fact it does not.
(3)
Any person who, without reasonable excuse, contravenes subsection (1) or (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
