Power to arrest absconding contributory, director or former director
The Court, at any time before or after making a winding up order, on proof of probable cause for believing that a contributory or a director or former director of the company is about to leave Singapore or otherwise to abscond or to remove or conceal any of his or her property for the purpose of evading payment of calls or of avoiding examination respecting the affairs of the company, may —
(a)
cause the contributory, director or former director to be arrested; and
(b)
cause the books and papers and movable personal property of the contributory, director or former director to be seized and safely kept until such time as the Court orders.
