Section 431
Acts of corporations, firms and lunatics
For all or any of the purposes of Parts 3 and 13 to 22 —
(a)
a corporation may act by any of its officers authorised in that behalf under the seal of the corporation;
(b)
a firm may act by any of its members; and
(c)
a person who lacks capacity may act by —
(i)
a donee of a lasting power of attorney granted by the person with powers in relation to the person for the purposes of Parts 3 and 13 to 22; or
(ii)
a deputy appointed or deemed to be appointed for the person by the court under the Mental Capacity Act 2008 with powers in relation to the person for the purposes of Parts 3 and 13 to 22.
