Clause 22

Binding over on second conviction

If a person who has been convicted of an offence under section 4 of this Ordinance is again convicted of the same or any other offence under that section, the court may, in addition to the punishment provided by that section, make an order requiring him to give security for a period not exceeding three years by one or more sureties that he will not offend against this Ordinance, and every such order shall be made as nearly as may be in the same manner and shall have the like effect and consequences as if the same were made under Chapter VII of the Criminal Procedure Code.
