Clause 13

No statement, written or oral, made by a person before the Commission shall subject him to, or be used against him in any civil or criminal proceedings:Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent the prosecution, conviction and punishment of any person for giving false evidence by such statement, if such statement is made in reply to a question which he is required by the Commission to answer and is relevant to the subject matter of the inquiry.
