Clause 28

Reinstatement of members

(1)

A member whose name has been removed from the register under the provisions of section 27 of this Ordinance may apply at any time for reinstatement of his name in the register and the name of such member may be reinstated in the register upon such terms and conditions as the Council may deem necessary to impose upon him and upon his giving such information and explanation as the Council may require, but the Council shall not be compelled and may refuse to reinstate the name of such member in the register and may refuse to assign any reason therefor.

Any such member who is dissatisfied with the decision of the Council may within one month from the notification by the Council of such decision to him appeal to the High Court.

(3)

Subject to the provisions of subsection (2) of this section, the procedure governing such appeals to the High Court shall be the same as for appeals to the High Court from decisions of District Courts in civil matters.
