Places may be set apart for bathing, etc
(1)
The Director may —
set apart and manage sufficient public places for the purposes of being used as bathing-places;
provide or set apart and manage a sufficient number of convenient tanks or runs of water for the inhabitants to bathe in; and
set apart tanks, reservoirs, or runs of water for washing animals or clothes and for all purposes connected with the health, cleanliness and comfort of the inhabitants.
(2)
The Director may grant a lease of any such bathing-places for any period not exceeding three years at such rent and on such terms as he thinks fit.
(3)
The Director may cause to be erected in any street or other place to which the public has access such standpipes as he considers necessary for the supply of water to the public.
